She works mainly on the floor where there are constantly influx and outflow of patients due to short stay. So, discharge planning is key with her patient population due to limited stay in the hospital. As usual in acute care setting, chart review is critical as always. She also deals with vestibular patients in the acute care setting, so knowing about BPPV and assessment might be helpful. Due to 10 hour days, she has a heavy patient caseload of at least 14 patients per day so time will fly pretty quick. You will learn a lot about "proper" documentation as she is the go-to person for it. Other than that, she is approachable, helpful, provides feedback and will give you a lot of independence with patients and a lot of the caseload as your rotation goes on. You will be good, and won't fail!
