Unprofessional, talks bad about patients, not compassionate, condescending, does the absolute minimum - need I say more? This was a BAD experience in every sense of the word. Highly recommend you find another CI! The entire JPS outpatient therapy department is not any better either.

If you are the type that likes to be thrown out there and figure stuff out on your own, then this lady is the CI for you! During my rotation, Amanda liked to stay in her office while I treated the patients. She told me if she was out there with me she would interrupt and take over the treatment session. However, if I ever had a question or needed ideas on treatment options she was usually available and easy to talk to. She would emphasize chart reviews before evaluations and encourage me to make connections to imaging and previous medical history. Side note: She misses at least a day a week, so you will get stuck with a random PT and treat his/her patients for the day.

You are VERY independent in this rotation and with this CI, but she is still very willing to answer questions and walk you through difficult patients.
